The best atmosphere! We just came back celebrating Christmas with family from all over the world. We gathered without knowing anyone and got to meet some really fun and cool people, children are happy and eating great food, adults mingling, chatting and having a great laugh. We dropped in without knowing if it was open and turned out to be a fun Christmas gathering of awesome people playing games, dancing, eating, chatting and just having a wonderful time! Shaun, the most generous person has captured the Christmas spirit and made all this happen. We were strangers who have become friends to celebrate and make some fun memories. His staff are welcoming and we have enjoyed ourselves so much that I just couldn't help but share this with the world of what a gem of a place we stumbled in on Christmas night! SHAUN, thank you for welcoming us with such warm embrace. He and his staff have created a perfect blend of warm hospitality, authentic charm, and lively atmosphere that it's not just a pub; it’s an experience that keeps you coming back for more!

What makes it even more special is the wide selection of options on the menu, catering to various tastes and preferences. I was genuinely delighted to discover that they serve Turkish coffee—it’s a rare find and a wonderful treat for coffee lovers like me. For those who like tasty food, good tea and coffee, as well as a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of Istanbul, this is definitely the right place. The drink menu for the morning and afternoon is very complete, in addition to having many sweet and savory options. Right at the entrance you can drink water that is courtesy of the house, as in all places in Canada Service is direct at the cashier and you take your order to the table yourself. The atmosphere is very pleasant, quiet and welcoming with good service. Unfortunately, they do not have accessibility for people with physical disabilities, such as users of wheelchairs and walkers, and they do not have a menu in Braille. For those with children, unfortunately they do not have high chairs. The cafe is close to the Eglinton metro station, the bus terminal and several shops.

EDIT: As of 2023, they seem to have gotten rid of most of their vegan options, including the baklava. I'm in love! Between their fantastic coffee and tea selections, vegan-friendly snacks and sweet treats, fast free wifi, ample seating, great hours, welcoming staff, and a warm, cozy environment this cafe really does it for me. It checks off a lot of my "musts" in a solid coffee shop. Thank you for being you, Istanbul Cafe! ;) So glad to find you while visiting TO!

Cozy cafe with warm and inviting vibe perfectly complemented by its mellow interior. They have an eclectic collection of coffee and other drinks along with the usual baked goods and classic Turkish small bites. A good place for meeting with friends or unwinding by yourself with an intriguing book. Cherry on the cake is the owner of this unique cafe who goes the extra mile for his customers by paying attention to every small detail and making everyone feel welcome. Definitely worth visiting again

Had such an amazing experience today. Food and coffees amazing. But the standout performance was to the staff, in particular the two Irish girls Kate and Sinead, they were amazing so friendly, attentive and really gave the cafe an authentic Irish vibe. Highlight of my trip! Would recommend to all!

We went out for Turkish coffee looking at the reviews, but this place was a total surprise. Amazing place to hangout with friends and family. We also ordered rose latte and it was the best latte I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back and have it again.
